About
I'm a third year medical sociology doctoral student at UCSF. I'm currently working on my qualifying exam focused on fatness and sexuality, looking at intersections between the two through discourses on risk, deviance and social control.
My other research projects include:
- An ethnography of the queer porn community in San Francisco (in prep)
- A critical media analysis of the Biggest Loser w/ a Health at Every Size Perspective (data collection)
- Quantitative data analysis of women's previous family planning experiences through my work at ANSIRH
